Where have we placed baby Jesus? (poems of admonition, By Daisy McLean) Winter 2021

One of the first things you will notice when studying Scripture is that the word “Christmas” is not mentioned in any verse, chapter, or book of the Bible. None of Jesus' disciples, nor any of His apostles attempted to celebrate the miraculous birth of our Lord and Saviour.
But though Christmas is not mentioned in the scripture, it is a beautiful tradition among mankind as long is it a reminder of honour and respect to the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. However, Christmas can be one of the most dangerous times for human relationship with Jesus and God our father in heaven.
Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. For the Lord will not hold guiltless” -- meaning “will not forgive” -- whoever takes His name in vain.” - Exodus 20:7
Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. God is not a plaything. He sees and know our hearts. He know that around this time of the year, many of us are driven by our emotions all over the place, to the point that we end up spending money that we don't have on things we don't need. The book of provers call this vanity of vanity.
Our father in heaven knows that we are using Christmas as a ''party for baby Jesus.'' Or may I say, as an opportunity to deliberately let loose to our carnal desires, or to the noisy hurray or to the drunkenness and madness in our behaviours.
So, where have we placed baby Jesus in our soul?
And, what do our sinful behaviour has to do with God's holiness?
Tell me something, have we last our minds and our Christian sense?
Well, let me tell you, even common sense is a gift from God.
Why celebrate baby Jesus in the darkest manner?
Where have we placed baby Jesus in our hearts and lives?
How does Christmas bring us closer to God?
WE ARE USING OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR'S NAME IN VAIN.
LET US ASK FOR THE GIFT OF REPENTANCE AND TURN BACK TO CELEBRATING JESUS EVERYDAY IN OUR LIVES!
God bless you in Jesus Holy Name. Amen!
