Righteousness starts with humbleness…
And humbleness bows before God.
The righteous man honours God through Christ Jesus saying:
- Thank you, God, for a new day of life…
- Thank you, God, for your love and mercy…
- Thank you, God, for your blessings…
- Thank you, God, for my family…
- Thank you, God, for the food we eat…
- Thank you, God, for the air we breathe…
- Thank you, God, for the water that quenches our thirst…
- Thank you, God, for the cloths we wear…
- Thank you, God, for the sunlight…
- Thank you, God, for the moonlight…
- Thank you, God, for the stars…
- Thank you, God, for the trees and plants…
- Thank you, God, for the animals…
And the list goes on and on… but most of all thank you for Jesus our saving grace. Glory is to God in Jesus Holy Name. Amen.
As Christians we need to constantly examine ourselves. Paul put it this way: Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realise this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 2 Corinthians 13:5. Lamentations 3:40 says - Let us test and examine our ways and return to the Lord.
I sometimes find myself so busy that I forget to be grateful to God and honour Him. I struggle in my faith as I also sometimes forget Jesus is my redeemer. Ferment your grace of unity in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in my everyday Christian journey, wonderful and merciful Father, in Jesus Holy Name. Amen!
Getting entangled in errands of the world can stray us away from God. Solution: Don't entangle yourself, instead take a day at a time. Moreover, this is one of the main reason Jesus is sent on earth (Matthew 11: 28-30).
Paul says: But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:13
God loves the righteous man: For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish. Psalm 37:28
