Christian brothers, know your battles well, Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12

One of the greatest lies of all is that there is no such enemy of our soul. In fact, many think that there is no such thing as 'soul.' But if we are only dealing with ourselves, among ourselves, why do we bother going to church? Why do we make use of the Holy Sacraments? Why do we get baptised? To whom we say yes on our confirmation day? Why do we get married? Why do we even bother celebrate Easter and Christmas and Christ Jesus in so many ways and form? Why do we call upon the name of God, our Creator and Father in Heaven? And why are we afraid? Why do we get depressed? And why there are so many lacking love and mercy?

We living in a time where we need to recognise that even common sense is a gift from God. All our successes, all our achievements, all our great works and all our good thoughts comes from God alone. But just as all the great blessings from God, are the wrath of God is still actual today as yesterday. Maybe not as raw as before Christ Jesus, but it is there.

And it is there because a good father must discipline their children if they really love them. But it is also there because it is established from the beginning of times, that our wrong choices bring negative consequences. And these consequences, according to divine laws (for our own good) must be applied to our lives to guide us and bring us to repentance of our wrong ways.

So bredring, although life is short and you do not want to be pestered with others situations, we are most of the time part of the trouble. So, the first thing we need to do when this occur is:

    1. Pray about it. Ask God to reveal the correct decisions towards what you are going through and towards the person(s) who is/are involved.
    2. Call and plead upon the Name and Blood of Jesus, as you pray and implore God our Father in Heaven for guidance and help.
    3. Seek being at peace in your heart towards the situation, and ask God to place the words of reconciliation with the involved, in your mouth and your heart. The spirit of sincerity and mutual understanding will be your closest guide to know that you have made connection with the divine mystery of forgiveness.

Father God in Heaven. Heal our hearts, bless us, guide, restore us and protect us from the evil of this world. Teach us to live righteous in-front of you through Jesus our Redeemer. Teach us to love ourselves and our neighbour just as ourselves. Give us all the favour to live in love and unity. In Jesus Holy Name. Amen1
